Clean Energy Asia LLC (CEA), the second wind powered renewable energy project in Mongolia, was established in 2012 is a as a joint venture between Newcom LLC and SB Energy of Japan, renewable energy subsidiary of SoftBank Corp.
Main goals are to produce renewable energy in Mongolia, reduce carbon emissions in the area, expanding development of the renewable energy sector in Mongolia in addition to exporting clean energy to other regions thus facilitating the creation of the Asian Super Grid.
CEA has started operations in 2018 and has been a pioneer in providing electricity supply from cleaner sources in Mongolia, with 50 MW Tsetsii Wind Farm providing 3% of countries annual electricity demand. CEA’s future goals are aligned with Mongolia’s and international Paris Climate Accords goal of producing cleaner energy and reducing global carbon emissions by 2030 and will further facilitate economic and infrastructure development of the country.
