BOLDBAATAR Tserenpuntsag, Chairman
Chairman and co-founder of Newcom Group, Mr. Boldbaatar Tserenpuntsag started his career with the Ministry of Telecommunications of Mongolia and has served in the sector continuously for 12 years, of which since 1985 he had held senior and managerial level positions in telecommunications organizations.
Mr. Boldbaatar was elected the member of the first Parliament of Mongolia in 1990-1992.
Mr. Boldbaatar was the advisor to the Prime Minister of Mongolia on Infrastructure Development Policy and later was appointed the Commercial and Economic Counselor at the Embassy of Mongolia in Tokyo. He left the Government in 1998 and moved to private sector.
Mr. Boldbaatar co-founded the Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center of Mongolia and serves on its Board.
His professional interests include distance basting technologies such as mobile communication, air transport, renewable energy, sustainability of social, economic development, improving competitiveness.
ARVINTSOGT Ragchaa, Board member
A telecommunication engineer Arvintsogt is one of the three founders of the Newcom LLC. He started his career as a technical maintenance worker and engineer at the radio relay station of the Gobi-Altai province. In 1990 he was appointed to work at the Ministry of Communication, where he supervised technical planning and policy units as well as managing telecommunications development projects.
In 1993 Mr. Arvintsogt co-founded Newcom LLC and served as its Deputy Director and General Director between 1993-1995, and as General Director of Mobicom between 1995-2000.
Mr. Arvintsogt successfully led the teams of engineers in various projects which pioneered breakthrough innovations in the development of Mongolia’s telecommunications industry – installation of the earth station to enable nationwide satellite television broadcasting, installation of an international telecommunication earth station, which enabled Mongolia to communicate with almost 100 countries. He was one of the authors of Mongolia’s Telecommunications Master Plan, which defined the cornerstones of the telecommunications strategies in two decades.
In 1995 Mr. Arvintsogt led a project to participate in a Government’s tender bid to introduce mobile telephony in Mongolia, forming a joint Mongolian-Japanese consortium of Newcom, Sumitomo and KDDI. The consortium won the bid and established Mobicom, Mongolia’s first mobile operator, which remains the largest and the most popular cellular telephone service provider.
Mr. Arvintsogt has made tremendous contributions to the development of Mongolia’s telecommunications sector, promoting private investment and technological innovation. In December 2011, by the Decree of the President of Mongolia, Mr. Arvintsogt was conferred the title of the Merited Worker of Telecommunications.

ENKHBOLD Nyamjav, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Enkhbold is a graduate of Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands, andNational University of Mongolia. Prior to joining Newcom, he was a Vice President for Business Development of MCS Holding LLC and Vice Chairman of Unitel LLC. Mr. Enkhbold has 17 years experience of working in corporate environment as well as various industries including technology media and telecommunication, financing, and real estate development.
